A medical conference is under pressure from trans activists to cancel a talk by three Australian doctors about people who change back to their original gender after transitioning.

An online petition by a group of students from the Australian National University is calling for a medical conference over de-transitioning in Canberra to be scrapped.

The petition has been signed over 600 times, with the group claiming it’s about stopping anti-trans rhetoric.

The activists have threatened protest action unless their demands are met.

However, psychiatrists say it’s an outrageous bid to silence a scientific debate about the potential harm of gender treatments.

National Association of Practicing Psychiatrists Philip Morris said; “To be denied of this is just crazy, and for the college to not say anything about it is just really concerning.”
